Enjoy the pristine nature in Semriach
Escape the daily grind and seek refuge in the great outdoors, where you can revel in the scent of the forest, the clear air and the cool water. Semriach lies 25 kilometers north of the provincial capital of Graz in one of Styria's most charming landscapes. The mild climate at an altitude of 707 to 1,445 meters above sea level makes this elevated valley a place to relieve stress and rejuvenate.
Lurgrotte – Austria's largest stalactite cave
The entrance to the Lurgrotte lies about 2 kilometers from our hotel, and this is the most beautiful and extensive stalactite cave one can visit in Austria. It spans the hill between Semriach and Peggau and exhibits the largest free-hanging stalactite in the world. Plus, the climate in the Lurgrotte cave is beneficial to your breathing passages. The greatest attraction is the light-and-sound show in the “great cathedral”.
